Location
Located in the international transit area of Suvarnabhumi Airport, the larger of the two airports in the Thai capital Bangkok, it is located at a kind of lounge hub on the 3rd level of the airport that if forms together with a number of other airline lounges.
How to find the Lounge
After the security check at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, go to level 3, which is one level below all the stores. From there, it is best to head towards Concourse D. You will find the lounge near gate D8.
However, you can also find all Lounges quite well signposted and can simply follow the signs until you are in front of the Lounge.

Check-in
As we arrived, we were greeted friendly and were able to check in easily using our mobile boarding pass. The screen was simply scanned and we were allowed to enter.
As Business Class guests on Thai Airways flight TG 922 from Bangkok (BKK) to Frankfurt we were granted access . As the airline is also a Star Alliance member, Thai Airways guests can also use the Lounge.

Access authorization
The following access rules apply as these travelers get access to the Turkish Airlines Star Alliance Gold Lounge at Survarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok:
- All passengers traveling in Business Class with Turkish Airlines or another Star Alliance airline

Turkish Airlines Star Alliance Gold Lounge at a glance
The main room of the Lounge is divided into three areas, so you can decide whether you prefer to sit on lower armchairs, higher armchairs at small tables or real chairs at bistro tables.
To the left you will find the toilets, the work room and the prayer room. To the right of the entrance you will find the Bar, the buffet and the kitchencounter.

Opening hours
In fact, the Lounge is open an incredible 24 hours a day, so you can use it at any time of day or night. Kind of crazy, right?
View
The large window front, which gives the Lounge a really great light and open feeling, provides a view of a very nice green area to the side of the main airport building. The fact that there is an outdoor view here at all – and such a great one at that – is really quite rare for Lounges and is certainly the unique selling point here in the Turkish Airlines Star Alliance Gold Lounge in Bangkok!

Equipment
WLAN
Of course, the Lounge offers its own WIFI for guests to use. The access data can be requested.
Work opportunities
At the back left of the Lounge there is a larger, unlockable room where you can work on computers or exchange ideas with colleagues at a conference table.
Stowage options
If you don’t always want to carry your cabin luggage around with you at the Lounge, you can store it in lockers located at the entrance.
Special features
An absolute special feature at this Lounge is the free 15-minute massage that you can book at reception. Fabi tried it out and highly recommended it!

Catering
The main focus of this Lounge is definitely on the food. In addition to a Buffet and a Bar, Turkish Airlines also offers typical Turkish specialties.

Buffet
In addition to small cold and pre-portioned dishes and salads, the Buffet also offers some hot dishes that change daily. The focus here is on both Mediterranean and Asian dishes. In addition, there were also warm pastries at a counter. The typical Turkish Simit was supposed to be here – but unfortunately was not on display during the time of our stay.
You can also help yourself to water and various soft drinks from the fridges as well as coffee and tea.

Bar
In addition to wines and sparkling wine, the centrally located Bar also has various other alcoholic beverages available for you. You can also have a few delicious cocktails freshly prepared from a menu.

Conclusion
The Lounge is rather small, but nice. It doesn’t offer many fancy things, but it’s big enough to be quiet and offers delicious food 24/7 and also features a real Bar. You can always get me with that – a real Bar is one of the things that I unfortunately usually miss in Lufthansa Lounges.
The food was delicious and the service was nice. The free massage also is a really great idea. So we were completely satisfied with the Turkish Airlines Star Alliance Gold Lounge here in Bangkok.
Rating
I can only award the Turkish Airlines Star Alliance Gold Lounge Bangkok a well-deserved 10 out of 10 possible points. Everything was great and as it should be.
Go there?
Absolutely. This Lounge is definitely a quiet & relaxed alternative to the many other Lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).
