Location

Prague Marriott Hotel is located in the Nové Město district, just a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town. The area is lively but not overcrowded – a good mix of central and pleasantly relaxed.

You can reach the Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock as well as numerous restaurants and cafés in around 10 minutes on foot. At the same time, the hotel is located in a somewhat quieter side street and by that is not directly in the tourist hustle and bustle. The Palladium shopping center is also just around the corner.

The location is particularly suitable for those who want to explore Prague on foot but don’t want to stay in the middle of the tourist crowds.

Arrival

Prague Marriott Hotel is centrally located in Prague’s Old Town and is easily accessible from Václav Havel Airport (PRG). Depending on traffic, it takes around 25-35 minutes by cab or Uber to get to the hotel. There is currently no direct train connection, so a car is usually the easiest solution.

If you want to travel by public transport, take the bus from the airport to the city centre and then change to the metro or streetcar. You should allow around 40-50 minutes in total for this journey.

When traveling by train, you will arrive at the main train station Praha hlavní nádraží. From there, you can reach the hotel on foot in around 10-15 minutes or in a few minutes by cab or streetcar. The central Florenc bus station is also only around 10 minutes away. Getting here is generally uncomplicated, especially due to the hotel’s very central location.

We arrived at Prague airport on Lufthansa flight 1400 from Frankfurt and made direct use of the cooperation that Uber obviously has with the airport and took an airport shuttle cab, which took us through the evening traffic to the hotel in about 40 minutes.

Check-in

At the hotel, we found the way to the reception on our own, where we were directly in line without having to wait and were greeted in a really friendly manner. The check-in was very well prepared and took just a few minutes. We were also greeted by the Guest Experience Manager – obviously due to our Titanium Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy.

We were also given some information about breakfast as well as the Lounge and were then kindly sent on our way to the elevators.

Prague Marriott Hotel at a glance

Prague Marriott Hotel was opened in May 1999 and is one of the larger city hotels in the center of Prague. The building comprises 7 floors with a total of 416 rooms and Suites and offers more of a classic business hotel layout.

The rooms and Suites are spread over floors 1 to 7, with the higher-quality Club rooms and Suites located on the upper floors (6 and 7).

The Lobby, reception, restaurant and bar are all located on the first floor and merge seamlessly into one another. The main restaurant is also located here, as well as a café and bar area, which serves as a central meeting point in the hotel.

The M Club Lounge area is located at the rear of the first floor and offers additional retreat space with breakfast, snacks and work areas.

The pool, spa and fitness area is located in the basement of the hotel as a separate wellness area. The conference and event areas are to be found on a separate mezzanine floor between the ground and the first floor, where all meeting rooms are bundled together.

In 2022, the entire hotel was extensively renovated and now offers a fresh and modern look that is much cozier and warmer than most other Marriott hotels worldwide.

Club Suite

As always, we had booked the cheapest room at the Marriott Prague Hotel – a Deluxe King – but already 3 days before arrival we could see on the app that we had been upgraded to a Club Suite due to our Titanium Elite status at Marriott Bonvoy.

So let’s take a closer look at Suite No. 759 on the top floor together.

Entrance

Just behind the room door, you will find yourself in a rather spacious, two-part entrance area, which is home to the built-in wardrobe on the left. In addition to plenty of space for your clothes, you will also find bathrobes, slippers, a safe and everything you need to have individual items of clothing dry-cleaned at the hotel.

A few steps further on is the extended entrance area, which lies right between the bedroom and living area. Immediately to the left is a fully functional, small desk and next to it, under the slanted skylight, a dining table with four chairs. The guest toilet is located immediately to the right of the passageway.

Welcome

A nice little welcome gift was already waiting for us as we moved into our Suite. In addition to two pieces of cake from the in-house bakery, there was also a welcome letter informing us of all the benefits and opening hours of the Club Lounge.

Living room

To the right of the entrance area is a short hallway at the end of which is the living room. The spacious area offers a cozy sitting area with plenty of space and a large TV in front of a rounded window front that offers a view over the roofs of the surrounding houses. What’s particularly great here is that the living area really is its own separate room, which is located quite far away from the bedroom and you can also feel very cozy here with several people, while the other person can sleep or rest if wanted. Just like in a real apartment.

In the hallway to the living room you will find the minibar in its own small area. In addition to the capsule coffee machine, there is also a kettle, glasses, cups and cutlery on the worktop. On the shelf above you’ll find water and a few snacks. In the fridge you will find more water, beer, juices and soft drinks. Coffee, tea and water are free. Everything else is to be consumed at an additional charge.

Bedroom

To the left of the central entrance area, a door leads into the bedroom. The small room is dominated by the king-size bed. There is only room for an armchair under the sloping roof and a luggage rack with drawer directly to the right of the bedroom door. Unfortunately, the bed was far too hard for me personally, but Fabi thought it was just great. The pillows were the same size but of different firmness and there was also a lighter comforter.

Light switches, sockets and charging options are built into the bedside tables. In addition to the individually controllable bedside lamps, there are also reading lamps built into the headboard of the bed, which can be switched on simply by folding them out. Only the remote control was on the left bedside table. On the right is the telephone with a pen and pad. Opposite the bed is a large television set mounted on the wall.

Turndown

The Prague Marriott Hotel also offers its guests a turndown service. The curtains are drawn in front of the windows, the blinds are closed and a small chocolate is placed on the pillow accompanied by a card stating the weather for the following day.

Funnily enough, the turndown service was already done as we moved into the Suite at around 3 pm and so we had to open the curtains and blinds again.

Bathroom

Off the bedroom is the master bathroom. Straight ahead opposite the door is the washstand with just one washbasin. There you will also find the usual amenities in addition to soap and body lotion. To the right of the room is the bathtub and to the left the extremely spacious walk-in rain shower, which also features a handheld showerhead. The Prague Marriott Hotel offers you care products from L’Occitane.

View

The view from the slanted skylights and the large panoramic window in the living room offers a view over the rooftops of the city and is certainly one of the highlights.

Lounge

The Marriott Prague Hotel offers its status guests from Titanium Elite upwards and all guests who have booked rooms and Suites with Club access the opportunity to refresh and relax at the M Club Lounge on the ground floor 24 hours a day.

Located at the back of the hotel, the fairly large Lounge offers a central buffet area as well as a terrace. During our stay at the beginning of April, only smokers were there, but I’m sure it’s really very cozy outside in summertime.

In addition to breakfast, you can of course also enjoy coffee, tea and refreshments as well as small snacks at the Lounge throughout the day. There is also a soup of the day at lunchtime and wine, sparkling wine and beer in the evening alongside a small but delicious buffet.

Resort activities

Fitness Center

The gym in the basement of the hotel is relatively large and also offers the latest fitness equipment, but is rather cluttered and unstructured.

Pool & Spa

Also located on the first basement floor, the hotel does not offer a real spa with treatments, but guests can use a sauna and steam bath connected to the pool for relaxation. The area doesn’t have a big number of loungers for you to use, but I think that this pool is anyways less of a wellness oasis and more of a place to relax for a shorter period of time.

Restaurants

The Artisan Restaurant & Bar

Connected to the Lobby and reception area, the fairly large restaurant offers typical Czech dishes from the garden, river and meat. After breakfast, you can eat, drink and enjoy a good time here all day long. The restaurant is located at the back of the hotel with no outside views, which, interestingly, doesn’t really matter at alla and contributes to the cozy atmosphere.

On Sundays, there is always a particularly large brunch.

The integrated bar serves Cocktails and alcoholic beverages as well as small snacks for in between.

Coffee Corner

Located directly to the left of the entrance, you can sit here comfortably and enjoy the hustle and bustle outside on the sidewalk and the street with a coffee or a small snack through the shop windows.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served for all guests at The Artisan Restaurant. However, we decided to have breakfast at the M Club Lounge. It’s usually a little quieter and more relaxed there, even if the selection is a bit more limited.

In addition to a small European breakfast, the cozy Lounge even offers its own egg station, where you can get all kinds of breakfast eggs. However, there is no service at the M Club Lounge. You simply get everything yourself from the buffet – including coffee and other hot drinks.

Check-out

The check-out was super easy and friendly. Everything was well prepared and went very quickly. We were once again asked how our stay was and whether we needed any assistance with our departure.

Costs

For this one night at the Marriott Prague Hotel, we paid a total of just under CZK 5040, which at the time of our trip in April 2026 was roughly equivalent to 205 euros. However it should be noted that the price was for the smallest room category. Access to the Club was possible thanks to our Marriott Bonvoy status – we were also able to have breakfast there.

Departure and onward journey

From here, we continued on to our next stop – the W Prague, before moving on to the Andaz Prague for our last night. It only took us 15 minutes to walk the short distance to the next hotel.

Conclusion

Prague Marriott Hotel is one of those houses which simply surprised us. It was the hotel we least expected from during our weekend in Prague. We had debated for some time beforehand whether we should do a review about it at all. Fortunately, we decided to do so.

This hotel is further proof that hotels that want to position themselves clearly and simply offer good service without being too fancy or hip can score points with just that. Sure – the Prague Marriott is not an ultra chic hotel. But the service was consistently great, the rooms newly renovated, the Lounge surprisingly good, the location perfect in the middle of the city and you can even relax by the pool!

Accordingly, we can recommend the Marriott Prague Hotel to all travelers – no matter what type you belong to. Solo and business travelers are just as well catered for here as couples and families.

On our EVRYWHE internal scale, we place the Prague Marriott Hotel in the premium segment.

Rating

We award the Prague Marriott Hotel a well-deserved 10 out of 10 points for this stay.

Of course. Not everything is absolutely perfect here either. But we couldn’t find anything to really justify deducting points during our stay!

Absolutely. We can really recommend this hotel with a all our heart and we will certainly be back.
