Location
As its name suggests, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity is located in the heart of Delhi’s modern Aerocity district, right next to Indira Gandhi International Airport. The area is characterized by modern hotels, office buildings, and wide streets, and appears much more orderly than many other parts of Delhi.
Thanks to the metro connection, you can reach both the historic sights and the business districts with relative ease. At the same time, the area remains pleasantly quiet and safe.
The location is particularly well-suited for business trips, short stays, or early as well as late flights.
Getting There
JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity is located just a few minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), and depending on the terminal and traffic, it takes about 10 – 15 minutes to get there by taxi or hotel shuttle.
Delhi Aerocity metro station is just a few minutes’ walk away. From there, you can head directly toward Connaught Place or to New Delhi Railway Station.
If you’re arriving by train, you should allow about 30 – 45 minutes from the train station to the hotel, depending on traffic. The easiest way to get there from the long-distance bus terminals is also by taxi or metro, followed by a short walk.
First, we checked Julia in at the Andaz just around the corner, and from there we walked over to the JW Marriott at 1:30 a.m. Arriving by foot at that time caused a moment of confusion among the staff, but after a brief explanation, they were immediately very helpful. After another security check, we went straight to the front desk.

Check-in
Despite the late hour, the lobby was still bustling — a classic airport hotel, really. We were still called up quite quickly, and the check-in itself went fairly smoothly, though there was no cold towel or welcome drink.
They explained a few details about the hotel — unfortunately, despite our Titanium status, there was no Suite available for these two nights. The hotel simply didn’t have any left. At least they booked us a room on a higher floor, though.

JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity at a Glance
JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity opened in 2013 and is one of the largest luxury hotels within the Aerocity district. The building features 6 floors and combines modern design with classic elements of the JW Marriott brand.
In total, the hotel offers 511 rooms and Suites, spread across floors 1 through 6. The Deluxe and Executive rooms are located on floors 1 through 6, while the larger Suites and Club-category rooms are located on the upper floors.
The lobby, reception area, and restaurants are located on the ground floor and feature a spacious, open layout. The large ballroom is also located there. The lounge is to be found on the 3rd floor.
The pool area, spa, and fitness center are located on the 2nd floor and are somewhat separated from the rest of the hotel.
Overall, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity has a more classic and spacious feel than many other hotels in the neighborhood — with a clear business hotel layout and extensive on-site facilities.

Room
As mentioned earlier, unfortunately there was no Suite available for us during this stay, but we were given a standard room on a higher floor.
So let’s take a closer look at Room 5024.

Entrance
Just past the bedroom door, you’ll find yourself in the hallway. On the right is the bathroom; on the left is a spacious luggage rack, followed by two built-in closets. The one on the left contains the safe, and in the one on the right you’ll find bathrobes, as well as an iron and ironing board.
Unfortunately, there was no welcome gift in the room — and none was delivered later either.

Living Room and Bedroom
Just a few steps further and you’ll find yourself in the room itself. At 42 square meters, the room is a decent size and, in addition to the bed, features a small sitting area with a sofa and coffee table, as well as a workspace with a desk and chair, which can also be used for dining.

Next to the built-in cabinets, you’ll also find the paid minibar tucked away in a lower cabinet. The drawer has a few snacks waiting for you, and in the fridge you’ll find soft drinks, water, beer, and wine, as well as some chocolate candies.

The king-size bed was truly very, very comfortable and came with a wonderfully cozy, soft comforter and four identical pillows. In addition to individually controllable lights, the nightstands also feature a reading lamp on each side. On the left is the phone with a notepad and pen; on the right is a clock radio that supports wireless charging for your cell phone.

Given the late hour, the turndown service had already been completed, so the slippers were on the bedside rug, and water as well as glasses had been placed on the nightstands. The curtains had also been drawn.

Bathroom
The rather spacious bathroom features a vanity with a sink directly across from the door, where you’ll also find the usual amenities. To the right of it is the toilet, separated by a glass partition.
The wet area is located on the left – the bathtub and walk-in rain shower are partially separated by a glass wall. Of course, toiletries are available here as well. These are from an Indian brand, but — just like at the Andaz — they differed from the hotel’s usual in-house brand — though they actually smelled quite nice.

View
The view from the room looked directly out onto the pool in the courtyard.
Lounge
As Bonvoy Titanium guests, we were also able to use the Executive Lounge on the 3rd floor of the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity. Access is granted to all guests with Platinum status or higher, as well as guests staying in Suites or rooms with Club access. In addition, access can be purchased for 5,000 IDR per day per person for additional guests.
The quite large, elongated room features a reception area in the center, a quieter section with sofas, and, in the rest of the room, chairs and tables where guests can eat or work. There is also a small terrace in the courtyard, though due to the hot temperatures, it was used exclusively by smokers.
In addition to breakfast and high tea, there is also a cocktail hour.
By the way, children under 12 are allowed in the lounge only during cocktail hour, and those between the ages of 12 and 15 must always be accompanied by an adult.

During Cocktail hour, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., alcoholic beverages will be served in addition to the regular offerings. You can simply help yourselves to these at the beverage buffet that will be set up. There will also be a small selection of food available from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. — also in buffet form.
However, when we visited the lounge for their Cocktail hour that evening, it got ver obvious that even this place can reach its limits — there was only one spot left on the terrace as the inside was already completely full. So we ended up sweating while eating. Hence our tip: arrive early to secure a cool and air-conditioned spot inside.

Resort Activities
Pool
With outdoor temperatures around and above 40 degrees in mid-May, the pool was a great way to cool off and comes highly recommended. Although the pool area is relatively spacious, the view of the airport across the way is somewhat obstructed; however, the pool area offers plenty of greenery and felt cozy. There were a handful of lounge chairs in the shade of the trees. Water, sunscreen, and newspapers were also available.

Fitness Center
The fairly large gym features modern equipment and a view of a green outdoor area.

Spa
The spa on the second floor offers mostly standard treatments, but in addition to the treatment rooms also features a steam room.

Restaurants
K3 – New Delhi’s Food Theater
The buffet restaurant, which serves Mediterranean, Asian, and Indian specialties, is open all day for dining. The restaurant spans two floors — and is correspondingly spacious. From the upper floor, you have a good view of the entire space and can also easily observe the bar located on the ground floor.
Adrift Kaya
The hotel’s Japanese restaurant, which mainly serves Sushi but also offers an Omakase experience.
Delhi Baking Company
Located on the ground floor, right by the hotel entrance, the Delhi Baking Company is a café in the truest sense of the word. Here, in addition to freshly brewed coffee, you’ll of course find cakes, desserts, and small snacks for when you’re feeling peckish.

Lobby Lounge
At the spacious Lobby Lounge, located directly across from the front desk, you can observe the courtyard through huge windows and also marvel at the truly impressive glass sculpture hanging from the ceiling – which also serves as a giant light installation after dark. True to its character, the Bar mainly serves a variety of coffees during the day and, starting in the evening, Cocktails and alcoholic beverages paired with small international bites.

In addition to the air-conditioned interior, the Lobby Lounge also features a truly beautifully designed terrace in the building’s courtyard. Located right next to a small water feature, it’s a great place to relax in the evenings and at night.

Breakfast
We decided to have breakfast at the Executive Lounge here at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity. While the selection is traditionally a bit smaller here, it was definitely much quieter than in the main restaurant.
In addition to the small but excellent selection at the buffet, there’s even a live-cooking egg station where you can put together your own fresh egg dish if you’d like. However, there is no à la carte menu. Only hot beverages can be ordered and will be served at your table.

Service
Overall, the staff here at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity knew what they were doing and were friendly the entire time. The front desk team did a great job and was always smiling and professional. In the restaurants and the Lounge, the service staff were also always friendly and attentive. All in all, the service was solid and fine.
Checkout
Everything was ready for checkout as we arrived at the desk, and the process went smoothly, in a friendly and professional manner and without any issues. The folio was correct, and payment took less than a minute. At the end, however, we were asked to rate our stay. Our response of “7,” however, unintentionally set off an alarm immediately — within about 30 seconds, the duty manager was taking to uns and wanted to know why we’d given this “bad” rating.
In response to this question, we mentioned the lack of a Suite upgrade despite its availability, as well as the absence of a welcome amenity. We also pointed out the capacity issues at the Lounge, where guests had to sit outside in temperatures exceeding 35 degrees because, unfortunately, there was no more space available inside during Cocktail hour. The duty manager apologized immediately, promised to do better, and even handed us his business card right away. As we returned a week later for another stay, we were indeed given a Suite upgrade with a view of the runway, as well as a rather nice welcome amenity.

Costs
We paid about 38,000 IDR for these two nights at the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity — which was equivalent to about 350 euros in May 2026. We were granted Club access due to our Titanium status with Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
Departure and Onward Travel
For now, we’re just heading around the corner to the Hyatt Regency. After that, we’ll be checking out The Leela and the legendary The Imperial for you. Then we’ll continue on to the Golden Triangle and eventually travel via Goa to Mumbai. So stay tuned — it’s going to stay exciting!

Conclusion
JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity is a decent hotel. We weren’t quite sure what to expect — even though we’d already had some experience with some JW properties around the world. I’d say the hotel in Delhi falls in the mid-range within the brand. We felt comfortable here, but weren’t particularly surprised — neither positively nor negatively — by anything; it offers all the basics you’d expect. The (not-at-all-meant-that-way) criticism was taken very seriously and handled exceptionally well.
In our opinion, virtually all types of guests can stay here without any problems. Business travelers will find everything they need here, just as solo travelers, couples, and families will. However, the hotel is especially recommended for anyone who expects a certain Marriott standard during their stay in Delhi — and, of course, for those of you who appreciate its proximity to the airport.
On our internal EVYWHRE scale, we classify JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity as part of the Premium segment.

Rating
For this 2 night stay at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, we award the hotel 9 out of a possible 10 points.
This time, only half a point is deducted in each case, as both points of criticism are only partially relevant. The first half point is deducted for the lack of seating available at the Lounge during Cocktail hour — otherwise, everything there was fine. And we were able to easily overlook the missing welcome gift, given our very late arrival.
Go there?
Yes — you can definitely stay here, and we think the value for the price is really good.
